Chop’t opened in January 2001 with hopes of bringing something creative, fresh and healthy to the lunchtime scene in New York City, and eventually the rest of the country. The owners wanted to offer the very biggest and best salads and salad sandwiches, with the largest variety of ingredients and the best bang for the buck in the city. They envisioned a place where the customers would have a hand in crafting their meals and could come every day of the year without eating the same meal twice.

Every morning before opening, the kitchen bustles with activity. The owners/chefs prepare dressings and vinaigrettes from original recipes, tested on friends and families for two years until they were perfect. Daily shipments of fresh produce arrive, and then they prepare and grill the meats, roast the turkeys and make their soups from scratch.
Because Chop’t maintains the highest levels of food quality, service and cleanliness, customers can expect to leave there with a smile and a desire to return. If you have any suggestions on improving the Chop’t experience, do not hesitate to visit www.choptsalad.com and tell Colin and Tony what you think.

The food is fine but this place takes FOREVER....don't order from here if you're hungry.

Decent salad but always take an hour to deliver

Average salad place and delivery takes forever.

After not ordering from them for 6 months (after getting a handful of staples in my salad) I decided to try them again. 2.5 hours later I call Chop't to find out they made a computer error and that they had no record of my food. If you don't mind waiting 2+ hours for your food, and want to be supremely dissapointed when it arrives, then definitely try Chop't.

The food is great if you order the things you know you like. The worst part about this place, though, as I'm sure everyone knows, is that delivery takes over an hour EVERY time. I suggest you order your food 2 hours before you plan to eat lunch because waiting hours for a salad is kind of the most ridiculous thing in the world.

Very slow delivery time.

Horrible delivery service. Wait is more like 3x whatever they say - if they say 30 min, expect 1.5 hrs.
Posted 2 months ago by Christine F.
food is ok, but delivery times are totally out of whack. When it says 30-45 minutes, don't be surprised if it's really 3x that wait.... BAD delivery service.
Posted 2 months ago by Edward C.
much less chicken that i would get if i went to the place myself. not filling. guess seamless customers are second class customers?
Posted 3 months ago by Michael G.
Lettuce overkill - I ended up tossing a good fistful. The dressing was delicious, although unexpectedly spicy. I added corn, because the mixing wasn't very varietal... and I should've added a few more, because it really felt soft on the veggie side.

Salads are good, but this place just isn't good at delivery. Your salad will arrive probably at least an hour after you order it. It will be messy; it will be soggy. Better pick it up instead.
Posted 4 months ago by Christina A.
Top notch ! Blew my expectations away especially with the delivery !!
Posted 4 months ago by Kyle K.
as much as i love pick-up/delivery, when you make a custom salad, half the salad additions are missing?!
Posted 5 months ago by Jessica L.
The food is ok, but they can't deliver on time to save their lives. There are plenty of places to order a decent salad. Its just not worth the waiting an hour or more. They also routinely forget to put on all the toppings. The salads are also soggy when they arrive. YUK!

ordering online is definately the B team. wrong dressing, not chopped, and gave me a salad instead of a wrap.
Posted 6 months ago by stephanie w.
SO DELICIOUS. Love all the options that they have and it's also a pretty generous size considering the price!
Posted 7 months ago by Estelle Y.
The food is good, but the delivery and service is AWFUL. I placed an order with a "45-60 minute" delivery time, but still no food after 65 minutes. Called the restaurant, they said they only got the order "20 minutes ago" (ie, 45 minutes after I placed the order). The woman on the phone was un-apologetic and offered no explanation, and made it sound like it was my fault for wanting my order within the delivery time window.

over an hour to deliver one small salad? nooooo thank you. cant imagine this place will be around much longer if this is typical.
Posted 8 months ago by Patrick C.
This branch is absolutely awful with getting an order correct. Time after time they leave things out - I have never expericed this wil another Chop't. Cannot get simple instructions right. Absolute last time ordering from this location!
Posted 8 months ago by Kelly C.
They load up on the mixed greens and leave you short with respect to any other ingredients. I can barely find any of the other ingredients in the salad. I would not order from here again.

Orders always take awhile to arrive, but it's well worth the wait!
Posted 9 months ago by Jennifer S.
love, love, LOVE this place. But if you're in a hurry, probably not the best spot to pick. They're great at what they do- so the line is usually out the door! This definitely effects the wait time on delivery orders as well. We've waited 60-90 minutes for 2 salads and soup. Worth the wait, in my opinion, but not if you're starving or don't have time to wait! Just order around 11-11:30 if you want a noon lunch time delivery!

I've been to Chop't before and I think their in-dining or in-person service is a lot better than their delivery service. Not only did it take a long time, but my wrap was a little on the dry side and the lettuce wasn't as "chop't" as it normally has been when I ordered in person. Otherwise, the food here is really good and it's one of my favourite places to eat. I especially like Chop't when I want to get something healthy, but quick!

I love Chop't. The salads are the best of any take out place in the city. For under $10 you get a great quality salad.
Posted 9 months ago by Jonathan S.
Very big salads. I liked the Southwestern Chicken, but the Asian Chicken wasn't great.
Posted 9 months ago by Tristan B.
I think it's hard to go wrong when you create your own salad, and Chop't salad is even better. If you get the dressing mixed in I would suggest making a not that you want it on the light side, otherwise you may end up with a soggy salad.

This is the first time I'd ordered from them after hearing my colleagues rave about it. They were right--their salad is amazing! Delivery took a little more time than I was comfortable with though, around 1.5 hours, but they'd warned me about that so I was prepared. I'll definitely order from here again!
Posted 9 months ago by Puneet S.
Love Chop't. Tons of great choices. Salads are fantastic and made to order. Sandwiches are really big and filling - I like their wraps, but would prefer other bread options. Chicken noodle soup is pretty good, too. Delivery is quick--have always had good experiences.

You might wait a while for delivery, but if you're nearby, don't be intimidated by the line, as the operation moves so smoothly and you won't be there long. I was always hesitant with wraps, because I hate the zones of toppings that you eat in the order you ordered them. I don't hesitate with Chop't.

This place is amazing - so fresh, healthy, and customizable. The only downside is how popular - give them at least an hour or more for deliveries at lunch time.
Posted 9 months ago by Marianne L.
Chop't Creative Salad Co. is a great place to order for lunch. Delivery is pretty prompt as well, given how busy they get around lunch time. It's reasonably priced for the amount of food you get, and it's nutritious too! Always nice to have a healthy AND tasty meal for lunch.

Consistently fresh. Just wish they'd honor their punch cards w/ Seamless deliveries.

I love the "create your own salad" option. I'm a super picky eater, so it makes me really happy that I can have exactly what I want in my salad without feeling like I'm being fussy. Plus I love their 3-bean soup!!
Chopt is my ultimate FAVORITE place to get lunch at work. I don't always order from Seamless because I like to walk there myself and get the full experience, but when the weather is gross or I just dont have time to walk over there, I order online all the time. They are the best when it comes to fresh ingredients and mixed salads. Their choppers are super friendly and always do a great job at chopping my salads just right. Their low cal dressings are also my favorite because I hate to try and eat healthy and just slather on the calories with caloric dressings! Try them all, they are great.

allways takes over an hour, never as big as you expect

I had a real problem with this lunch order from Chop't. First I should have paid closer attention to the timing but it took 1.5 hours for me to get a salad from the Chop't located only a few blocks from my office. When I received the salad it was a little soggy. I had asked for Panko Fried Chicken and I got only 3 or 4 cubes and the rest was really the breading from the chicken. Thank goodness I ordered the smoky bacon Russian dressing because there were some bacon bits in it. They were also really skimpy with other items that usually are given freely (eg, Feta cheese and Red onions). After waiting so long for the salad I ate it any way but I was so disappointed.

Tasty big salads with fresh ingredients and really yummy dressings.

Chop't is fast and tasty. The portions are generous, and the vegetables are fresh.
Posted 9 months ago by Michael K.
Delivery is completely inconsistent. The past 3 out of 4 times the salad hasn't been chopped despite requesting EXTRA chopped. Food came in whole pieces!!!!
Posted 10 months ago by Erica L.
The food is ok but the service is terrible. Takes forever and the guy wouldn't even walk up a couple flights of stairs when he saw the elevator was broken. It's like wtf, why did I tip you in the first place?
Posted 10 months ago by Stephanie M.
The walnuts were rancid/stale, so it ruined the entire taste of the salad!
Posted 10 months ago by Jessica K.
Waited an hour and a half. It never showed up. Unacceptable.

We have asked that the notes with the names of the salads be put on each salad - this request wasn't fulfilled. Some of the salads were missing a number and guests had to open their salads in order to identify them. We really like this place - and really hope that in the future the special requests could be fulfilled - even if takes longer time. Thank you.

The worst delivery experience I have ever had. This has happened over and over again. It either shows up missing items, extremely late, or they lose the order. This has happened over 5 times and I will never order online/telephone from them again.
Posted a year ago by Dan K.
This was perhaps the stingiest salad I have ever had. It's just shredded lettuce with almost no toppings that I ordered. I even added additional toppings for an extra price and they are barely perceptible. I chose the pick-up option because the address was listed at 7th avenue, but it is incorrect and actually 3 avenues east. I've never written a review before, but this place needs to get it together. Thanks.

The salad was okay, but not as good as the chopped salads at Europa, or the regular tossed salads at Tossed. The romaine was thick and tough, there were very small portions of ingredients, and the dijon vinaigrette was VERY strong on the dijon. Also, I asked for extra dressing and didn't get it, and as many have said the brownie is tiny (but yummy!).

Very good wraps and quality of salad

Chop't is terrible and I will never order form them again. My salad came completely unchop't with half a whole avacado inside. Additionally, I specififed on my order twice that I wanted SPA ranch dressing and they gave me regular. This is the 4th time this has happened. I called and was told a delivery person would bring me the spa ranch dressing in under 10 minutes. It has been almost 45. I will never order from here again.

They should rename this place Lettuce'd. If I was a cow I would give it 4 stars, however, I like to eat more than just grass... they barely put any meat or other toppings in the salad. And they charge you 10 dollars. I would rather pay 20 dollars for a salad that actually has more than one ingredient.

I was not happy with my experience. I scheduled a pick-up because I love Chopt. I ordered a Santa Fe salad with grilled chicken as an add-on. Not only did they forget to add the chicken to my salad. They forgot my Blondie. So, I paid for a blondie and an additional $2.25 for my chicken as well. I don’t recommend Chopt.

Amazing amount of choice as far as toppings. The wrap bread is great too. The dressings, however, vary--the spa balsamic and regular balsamic are delicious, but the caesar was way too cheesy/salty, and I could barely taste the tremblay farmsdijon and dijon vinaigrette. Go for the low-fat spa balsamic vinaigrette - it's very good!

Ridiculous wait time for a salad, it's not THAT good. 75 minutes and they are 3 blocks from me. This happens every time I have ordered from there. Last time for me.

This is the third time in a row it took them over an hour to deliver a salad. Since most people tip via CC, they don't care anymore about delivery time.

I reorder this salad quite frequently &today they have forgotten to include one of my toppings (crumpled egg). I am aware this topping was included before noon but i am disappointed there was no double check by the Chop't staff.

Chop't salads are always great--plentiful and tasty. The one I ordered today is no exception. But the web menu doesn't tell you that the brownie is about the size of an iPod Shuffle, and that the arnold palmer iced tea tastes like apple juice. Stick with the salads, or caveat emptor.

Although the food itself is very good, it is really a struggle in terms of delivery. It took them about 1 hr 25 mins (when estimated at 30-45mins) and when I called to follow up - they said they did have no record of the order, then said it would be there in 1 minute. And when it finally arrived, they also goofed up the dressing. Don't order here if you are hungry!

Not only was my food late... but i asked for my dressing on the side and an additional dressing received one dressing on the side(ceaser) and a different one on my salad (tex ranch)...

I love this place, but I was pretty miffed when I got my brownie. BEWARE, the Brownie is the same size as a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Not even kidding.

I ordered a Jamaican Chicken Chopped Salad. There were FOUR pieces of chicken in the entire salad. FOUR. If I wanted just lettuce I would have saved myself the extra $10 and bought a head of iceberg at the grocery store.

GREAT food, but delivery takes forever and they don't always get things quite right. I really hope they improve these aspects because I want to keep ordering from them -- the food is fresh, inventive, and yummy as all heck.

Food took an hour and twenty to arrive and the salad was soggy when it got here. Also, salad was about 90% lettuce and only 10% toppings. Not worth the wait or the price at all.

Fresh and Healthy! Get dressing on the side, otherwise salads get a little soggy.

I just love the food from Chopt! As far as salad goes, I think theirs are the best, always very fresh ingredients, and their dressings are unique and delicious!

i love chop't . . . when you go to the restaurant. i figured out how they make money, though - when you are at the counter, you get what you want, but when you are at home ordering online and you don't see them, they give you next to no toppings.
