Chop’t opened in January 2001 with hopes of bringing something creative, fresh and healthy to the lunchtime scene in New York City, and eventually the rest of the country. The owners wanted to offer the very biggest and best salads and salad sandwiches, with the largest variety of ingredients and the best bang for the buck in the city. They envisioned a place where the customers would have a hand in crafting their meals and could come every day of the year without eating the same meal twice.
Every morning before opening, the kitchen bustles with activity. The owners/chefs prepare dressings and vinaigrettes from original recipes, tested on friends and families for two years until they were perfect. Daily shipments of fresh produce arrive, and then they prepare and grill the meats, roast the turkeys and make their soups from scratch.
Because Chop’t maintains the highest levels of food quality, service and cleanliness, customers can expect to leave there with a smile and a desire to return. If you have any suggestions on improving the Chop’t experience, do not hesitate to visit www.choptsalad.com and tell Colin and Tony what you think.

I wish Chopt delivered the food faster. Sometimes it takes 45 min - 1 hour. It's my favorite place but this is pretty discouraging:(

Very good wraps and quality of salad

Chop't is terrible and I will never order form them again. My salad came completely unchop't with half a whole avacado inside. Additionally, I specififed on my order twice that I wanted SPA ranch dressing and they gave me regular. This is the 4th time this has happened. I called and was told a delivery person would bring me the spa ranch dressing in under 10 minutes. It has been almost 45. I will never order from here again.

They should rename this place Lettuce'd. If I was a cow I would give it 4 stars, however, I like to eat more than just grass... they barely put any meat or other toppings in the salad. And they charge you 10 dollars. I would rather pay 20 dollars for a salad that actually has more than one ingredient.

I was not happy with my experience. I scheduled a pick-up because I love Chopt. I ordered a Santa Fe salad with grilled chicken as an add-on. Not only did they forget to add the chicken to my salad. They forgot my Blondie. So, I paid for a blondie and an additional $2.25 for my chicken as well. I don’t recommend Chopt.

Amazing amount of choice as far as toppings. The wrap bread is great too. The dressings, however, vary--the spa balsamic and regular balsamic are delicious, but the caesar was way too cheesy/salty, and I could barely taste the tremblay farmsdijon and dijon vinaigrette. Go for the low-fat spa balsamic vinaigrette - it's very good!

Ridiculous wait time for a salad, it's not THAT good. 75 minutes and they are 3 blocks from me. This happens every time I have ordered from there. Last time for me.

This is the third time in a row it took them over an hour to deliver a salad. Since most people tip via CC, they don't care anymore about delivery time.

I reorder this salad quite frequently &today they have forgotten to include one of my toppings (crumpled egg). I am aware this topping was included before noon but i am disappointed there was no double check by the Chop't staff.

Great greek salad!

Great salads. Slightly skimpy on the toppings. Don't order the brownie. At one square inch, they're not worth the $1.25.

Harvest Cob not very good

Chop't salads are always great--plentiful and tasty. The one I ordered today is no exception. But the web menu doesn't tell you that the brownie is about the size of an iPod Shuffle, and that the arnold palmer iced tea tastes like apple juice. Stick with the salads, or caveat emptor.

delivery takes 2 hours.

Although the food itself is very good, it is really a struggle in terms of delivery. It took them about 1 hr 25 mins (when estimated at 30-45mins) and when I called to follow up - they said they did have no record of the order, then said it would be there in 1 minute. And when it finally arrived, they also goofed up the dressing. Don't order here if you are hungry!

Not only was my food late... but i asked for my dressing on the side and an additional dressing received one dressing on the side(ceaser) and a different one on my salad (tex ranch)...

I love this place, but I was pretty miffed when I got my brownie. BEWARE, the Brownie is the same size as a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Not even kidding.

I ordered a Jamaican Chicken Chopped Salad. There were FOUR pieces of chicken in the entire salad. FOUR. If I wanted just lettuce I would have saved myself the extra $10 and bought a head of iceberg at the grocery store.

GREAT food, but delivery takes forever and they don't always get things quite right. I really hope they improve these aspects because I want to keep ordering from them -- the food is fresh, inventive, and yummy as all heck.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Food took an hour and twenty to arrive and the salad was soggy when it got here. Also, salad was about 90% lettuce and only 10% toppings. Not worth the wait or the price at all.

Fresh and Healthy! Get dressing on the side, otherwise salads get a little soggy.

I just love the food from Chopt! As far as salad goes, I think theirs are the best, always very fresh ingredients, and their dressings are unique and delicious!

Great, yet EXPENSIVE for a salad

i love chop't . . . when you go to the restaurant. i figured out how they make money, though - when you are at the counter, you get what you want, but when you are at home ordering online and you don't see them, they give you next to no toppings.
